Site specific audio, stereo, 6′
Passage 17 is part of a conceptual site specific exhibition based on a shared experience among the artists, creating works together for the exhibition Eine Schifffahrt for Photo Düsseldorf 2018.
The exhibition space stays empty. Instead of the expected photographic works at the photo festival, audio guides are handed out at the entrance. Each artist has an assigned number which is hung on the walls. It is an unusual space, an old emptied finance department in the heart of Düsseldorf. Each number typed into the audio guide reveals that artist’s audio work.
Work number 17 describes two connected virtual works to be formed in the listener’s head, experiencing time and space and connectedness.
